[New Event] Chinese New Year
Since Feb. 1, Yokohama Daisekai, the Chinese food and entertainment museum in Yokohama’s Chinatown, has been holding special events to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
A Chinese Quiz, held from Feb. 7 to 11, will test your China-related trivia knowledge on subjects ranging from the Olympics, food and culture to the Chinese New Year and entertainment. Hints will be provided throughout Yokohama Daisekai and by the mysterious old Chinese men wandering its floors.
Prize include gift certificates for the facility and coupons for foot massage and Chinese dress try-on service. Participants can also enter to win a trip for two to Beijing.
During the same period, daily special performance with giveaways will be held at 1 p.m., and super-sized dumplings and 2008 good luck charms will be sold.
A new Sanrio store with Yokohama- and Kanagawa-only Hello Kitty goods is planned to open this month.
