[New Service] Short film theater
Mixing Co., in cooperation with Tokyo Tatemono Co., Starts Development Corp., Coop Tokyo Jyutaku Kyokyu Center and Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF), has opened a commercial complex in Minato Mirai 21, Yokohama.
The Filmee is located on the first and second floors of the Brillia Grande Minato Mirai Ocean Front Tower and Park Front Tower apartments.
Developed under Yokohama’s “image culture city” concept, which aims to encourage the formation of film and content businesses in the city, Filmee comprise Japan’s first boutique short film theater, Brillia Short Shorts Theater. The theater will screen short films from around the world, and hold film forums and events, with the aim of becoming the hub of a local and international cultural community.
Other tenants include an English-only day-care center, Kinder Kids International School, Yokohama’s No.1 hair salon “rough,” the “illimite” day-spa, a dental surgery and grocery store.
Scheduled to open in March are a wedding salon, Brasserie Hata and Grandciar Hayama An, a French restaurant that uses local ingredients from the Miura peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture, such as Kamakura vegetables, Sajima Bay seafood and Hayama beef.
