[New Product] Jumbo putter
Jalux Inc. has developed putter made of the engine fan blades from the classic Boeing 747 jumbo airliner.
A fan blade is a highly expensive 77-cm-long, piece of titanium alloy, a lightweight but tough material that is ideal for putters. Forty fan blades are used in a single jet engine. The JT9D Fan Blade putter has been released in commemoration of JAL’s Boeing 747 pre-300 classic jumbo series, which will retire in 2009. The fan blade is used for the face of the putter, and the silhouette of the extended upper deck B747-300 series aircraft is carved on the back.
Only 200 putters, each with a serial number and a green fork made of GE90 engine parts, are available exclusively through the JAL SHOP in-flight sales magazine and JAL Shopping Web site at www.shop.jal.co.jp/fbp/
The suggested retail price of the JT9D Fan Blade putter is 48,300 yen, including tax.
