[New Product] Tough camera
Ricoh Co. has released a water-, shock- and dustproof digital camera May 16.
The 116.5 x 68 x 32 mm, 260-gram compact and lightweight G600 is designed to withstand being dropped from 1.5 meters and submerged to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. Designed for outdoor use by construction workers or at disaster sites, the large buttons can be easily operated with gloved hands.
The camera is ideal for taking reliable evidence photos. Photos taken using the image-process detection function will have RSA encryption data embedded within the image files. You can check whether the image has been processed after shooting with the attached EC1 software.
Other functions include 10-megapixel CCD, ISO3200 compatibility, 5X optical zoom lens, 2.7-inch LCD, 52 MB internal memory, maximum 10 meter flash, image memo, CALS mode and skew correction mode, which alters images shot from an angle so that they appear as if they were shot from the front.
The suggested retail price of the G600 is 99,000 yen, excluding tax.
