[New Product] Thane vs. Shane
Shane Corp., an English-language school with 207 domestic and 70 overseas locations, has issued "Thane vs. Shane," a book that compares the language and cultural differences of America and Britain.
American Thane Camus, a language guru, and Englishmen Shane Lipscombe, founder and president of Shane Corp., navigate the book.
They compare common sense in each country regarding language and grammar, food, clothing, housing, lifestyle, education, politics and crime, by giving pungent examples of common misconception and prejudice through two stereotype characters, American Randy and Englishmen Tim.
The book comes with a CD with a "Get Along" theme song by Thane and Shane, vocabulary pronunciation guide, and comments from Randy and Tim, which illustrates to the differences between American and British English.
The suggested retail price of "Thane vs. Shane" is 1,260 yen, including tax.
