[New Product] Portable navigation
Sanyo Electric Co. has released a portable navigation system.
The 177 mm x 100.5 mm x 33 mm NV-SD580DT has a 5.8-inch touch-screen LCD and can be carried around by attaching the optional battery pack (sold separately). According to Sanyo, it is the industry’s first memory portable navigation system to have a built-in FM multiple VICS (vehicle information communications system) tuner that can display real-time traffic information. It can play MP3 music tracks saved on the SD card.
The NV-SD580DT and the NV-SB260DT come with a One Seg tuner that can be used to view and record up to 10 hours of programs onto a 2-gigabyte SD card. When recording, the NV-SD580DT needs to be connected to a power line through an AC adapter while the NV-SB260DT can record using the AC adapter, built-in battery or car battery adapter. The audio can be played through the car’s audio system or through other audio players by sending the data via an FM transmitter.
The 143 mm x 83 mm x 34.8 mm compact NV-SB260DT has a 4.5-inch LCD, a built-in battery and is easily portable.
The suggested retail price of the NV-SD580DT is 117,600 yen and the NV-SB260DT is 103,950 yen, both including tax.
